Why this isn't your final quote

We can't give you a 100% exact number until your surgeon sees your case in your medical video consultation. Your final quote may move from this estimate based on additional studies your surgeon may need, your specific anatomy, or projected recovery time. Most patients land within 15% of what you're seeing here — we'd rather tell you that upfront than surprise you later.

About this procedure

- What is it?: This procedure involves removing the eye’s natural lens (which has become cloudy over time) and replacing it with a high-tech Intraocular Lens (IOL). Think of it as replacing a foggy window with a brand-new, crystal-clear one.

- Who is it for?: Individuals experiencing blurry vision, sensitivity to glare, or difficulty seeing at night due to the natural aging of the eye.

- Step-by-Step:

  • Preparation: Numbing eye drops are applied (no needles required).
  • The Day of: The procedure takes about 15–20 minutes per eye. It is an outpatient surgery, so you go home the same day.
  • Recovery: Visual improvement is often noticed within 24–48 hours. You will use prescribed eye drops for a few weeks.

- Common Question: Can cataracts grow back? No, the artificial lens cannot develop a cataract. In some cases, the "capsule" holding the lens may become cloudy months later, but this is easily cleared with a quick, painless office laser.

Your recovery, day by day

Frequently asked questions about this procedure

What lens is included?

A premium toric intraocular lens is included as standard — it corrects astigmatism for sharp vision at one distance. You can upgrade to multifocal or trifocal/EDOF for more glasses-free range; your surgeon recommends the best lens for your eyes. Your quote already reflects the lens type you choose.

One eye or both?

Usually one eye at a time, a few days apart, for safety. Both can be scheduled on the same trip.

Will I still need glasses?

With the standard toric lens you'll see sharply at one distance and will likely use readers for close-up. Multifocal and trifocal lenses reduce or eliminate that. It depends on the lens you choose.

Is it painful?

No. It's done with numbing drops; most patients feel only mild pressure and recover quickly.

Do I need a recovery house?

No. Cataract surgery is outpatient, a regular hotel stay is enough.
